Kids Away Home®
Anyone who has ever gone to a mall, game or just left their kids playing in the front yard for a few minutes, and then could not find them, knows the pain, the anxiety...of trying to find a loved one. The panic and concern every caregiver feels can be mitigated by knowing someone, somewhere, has made it their life’s mission to find lost/missing/exploited children.
In the US 9-1-1 Emergency Services System, the National Centers for Missing Children, State Alert Systems and other Child and Missing Persons location services provide some hope for finding lost and missing persons. No such service exists in the East African Region – indeed, in most of the developing world.
Kids Away Home® aims to fill this gap, quickly finding and re-uniting children with their families as soon as practicable. Kids Away Home® will also provide temporary homes for children whose families cannot be immediately contacted due to language/communication barriers. Our work will initially span the major cities in Kenya
